Stronger Together: Rotary Rallies Behind Housing Effort

Tickets are on sale now for Grundy County Rotary Club’s Dinner with a Purpose, set from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at The Big Red Barn in Beersheba Springs.

The benefit supports Housing Hub and Mountain T.O.P.’s first affordable home build, which will help a 37-year-old single mother from Coalmont achieve her lifelong dream of owning her own home.

“Grundy County Rotary is pleased to support efforts to address the affordable housing shortage on the Plateau,” said Dr. Michelle Val, club president. “We’ve all seen community members struggling with this problem. It really hits home, and we are happy to do all we can to help.”

Fundraiser tickets are $35 for individuals or $280 for a table for eight. The evening includes a catered buffet dinner with friends and neighbors, live local music and an update on the building project, known as Blessing House.
